- 2,457 EMS runs
- 232 patients thought to be having cardiac ischemia
- 169 had no absolute contraindications
- Only 92 (54%) of the 169 received ASA
- 99 patients received nitroglycerin
- only 78 (79%) received ASA
- In the end, of the 435 patients complaining of non-traumatic chest pain, only 157 (35%) received ASA [8]
