Bleeding Risks
 Aspirin will increase your risk for bleeding
  •  The majority of this bleeding will be GI bleeding
  •  Less likely will be intracranial bleeds

 The Data
  •  325 mg of aspirin once a day for over 28 months was reviewed
  •  Aspirin versus placebo increase the risk of bleeding by 1%[17]
The Dose
  •  A review of 22 random trials was done in 2006
  •  The researchers looked for trials where patients were on low-dose aspirin or Plavix
  •  The dose of aspirin was 75 mg to 325 mg
    • 1.3/1000 experienced GI bleeds 
    • 3/10,000 patient's experience intracranial bleeds
