COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus

At-Risk Population
Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like high blood pressure, heart problems or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness. People who work in healthcare (taking care of those who are infected) are also at a greater risk.  As of now, pregnant women, people with HIV and those receiving cancer treatments would generally be placed at a higher risk. As a result of this rapidly emerging virus, there is insufficient data and evidence to prove these patients are at a higher risk. Common sense tells us to take extra precautions when around those who are potentially infected.
