COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus

Respiratory Transmission
COVID-19 can also be transmitted via tiny droplets that have been coughed or exhaled from an infected patient. This is why it is important to stay more than 3 feet away from a person who is sick. The “3 feet rule” is nice however impossible when caring for someone in the back of an ambulance. Respiratory precautions for both the suspected ill patient and the EMS provider are required. [8]
