COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus

Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer should be used as a bridge device for washing hands with warm water and soap.  Any alcohol-based hand sanitizer should contain at least 60% alcohol. As a result of the recent panic, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and sprays have been sold-out across the U.S. In certain cases, those companies with stock have limited customers to purchasing only one disinfecting item per visit. Alcohol-based sanitizers have the ability to reduce the number of germs on the hands. They DO NOT destroy all types of germs such as bacterial spores, protozoan oocysts and certain non-enveloped viruses. In addition there is no lasting effect as seen when using some antimicrobial soaps.
