| When COVID-19 was first discovered it appeared that it was only animal-to-human transmission. In other words it did not look like there was much in the way of human-to-human transmission when the outbreak first started. A group of people were clustered together all with the same “pneumonia-type” symptoms. As time went on, there were a number of cases that did not have contact with any animal reservoirs but did have contact with other infected humans.
