- Hydrogen Sulfide has an IDLH of 100ppm
- As a result of the potential dangers, proper entry procedures must be adhered to. These include:
- Entry performed by specialized rescue technicians
- Specialized equipment needed
- Positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)
- Constant positive flow of air to prevent inhalation of gas
- Minimum service life of 30 minutes of the SCBA is recommended
- Consider length of time in hazardous scene with enough air to safely get out and be decontaminated. [5]
