Rescuers in proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should conduct the initial patient assessment until the patient has been properly decontaminated Rescuers may be able to obtain primary information from dispatch Rescuers should be breathing under positive pressure when approaching (SCBA) This may include removing the patient's clothing and double bagging it Also known as "leaving it on scene."
