Assessment/Treatment
  • Once the patient has been decontaminated assess for Airway, Breathing & Circulation
    • Remember the CAB's if the patient is unresponsive
  • Determine length of exposure to chemicals
  • Manage immediate threats to Airway, Breathing and Circulation
  • Positive pressure ventilation with high concentration of oxygen 
  • Ensure the presence, rate, rhythm and quality of the ABC’s
  • Ensure ALS/Paramedics have been dispatched if not initially completed
    • Share the Glory or Spread the Blame!
