- Ensure all of the patient’s emergency LVAD equipment are accompanying patient to hospital
- While securing the patient to the stretcher ensure not to pull on or kink the percutaneous or power leads
- Ensure not to put pressure on the pump pocket
- Keep System Controller and batteries easily accessible but ensure they will not fall during transport
