Coronary Arteries
There are three main arteries that supply the heart and get blood from a small branch off of the aorta.  The left anterior descending, right main and left circumflex are the major arteries supplying blood to the heart.  It is important to note that these coronary arteries are only 1 ½ inches long and the diameter of a soda straw.  Any blockages or obstructions lead to a lack of blood flow to the heart.
