Percutaneous Lead
  • Percutaneous Lead, also known as Driveline
    • Cable that passes through the abdomen
    • The cable is also "coiled" within the abdomen in the event it is caught and pulled on
  • Connects directly to the LVAD Pump
  • If removed, the pump stops
  • A stabilization belt should be worn at all times to immobilize the percutaneous lead
