- Normal pupils are 3.0-5.0mm in diameter.
- Pinpoint pupils can be defined as those that are less than 2.9mm in diameter.
- To examine an eye, start with the eye open, noting the pupil size, then shine a pen light over the pupil and look for change.
- Pinpoint pupils will not have a reaction.
