Remember, even though it may seem as if an "antidote" is readily available, good BLS cannot be overlooked.  The primary goals in prehospital care are to maintain adequate airway and oxygenation, breathing and circulation.  Intranasal medication administration can play an important role, but early aggressive airway intervention can help buy the time needed.
