Patients experiencing a myocardial infarction or an ischemic event of unknown etiology may, based on a 12-lead interpretation, fall into one of three categories:
- “Injury (STEMI)”
- “Ischemia”
- “Non-diagnostic.”
It is important to recognize that these three terms simply represent various degrees of the same physiologic process. |
