Now that we can identify the three conditions within the spectrum of ACS, we can better identify those patients in need of a 12-Lead ECG. The prehospital use of 12-Lead ECG allows the EMT to identify ST-segment Elevation MI’s and provide early advanced notification to the appropriate facilities to decrease the door-to-treatment window. |
