An acute MI resulting from an occlusive thrombus is recognized on an ECG by ST-segment elevation. However, there are many other causes that create ST-segment elevation. The most common causes of ST-segment elevation were left ventricular hypertrophy, left bundle-branch block, early repolarization and ventricular aneurysm. |
