Posterior Cerebral Artery Stroke Visual symptoms predominate in this type of stroke patient, but a unilateral headache is also a common symptom. Decreased light-touch and pinprick sensation occur. Patients may lose the ability to read. Most patients have very little motor deficit and often fail to realize a stroke has occurred.
Vertebrobasilar Stroke Patients with this type of stroke generally complain of vertigo, headache, nausea and limb weakness. Deficits of cranial nerves with weakness on the opposite side of the body, are a hallmark of this type of stroke. [46]
