Stroke

What is a Stroke?
A stroke occurs when rapid loss of brain function occurs due to a disturbance in the blood flow and supply to the brain, whether due to interruption or a blood vessel bursting.  Brain cells die when they no longer receive oxygen and nutrients from the blood or there is sudden bleeding into or around the brain.

Strokes can be broadly classified into ischemic or hemorrhagic.  [1] [2] [3] [5].
