When conducting a stroke screen in the field, remember the following:
- If unable to assess, DO NOT mark as abnormal, document limitation due to deficit, etc
- Start on patients unaffected side
- Obtain other pertinent data:
- Last known well time
- History
- Recent falls
- Medications
