Stroke

Summary

The overriding goal is to improve all aspects of stroke care starting with public education and coordination of EMS resources and hospital personnel to streamline delivery of care. The time factor from symptom onset to delivery of definitive care in the hospital continues to be a large hurdle. Through education, process and quality improvement measures and coordination of resources, the outcome of stroke care can continue to improve.
