Intermittent Asthma

Symptoms < 2 days a week

  • Cough
  • Breathlessness (dyspnea)
    • Occurs while walking
    • Able to lie down
  • Speaks in sentences
  • Alertness
    • May be agitated
Intermittent asthma is essentially the same as mild persistent except that symptoms are less than two times per week

It is also important to note that patients with intermittent asthma can have and progress to a severe exacerbation [4]
