The main objectives of this lecture is to give the EMS responder insight into to the Less Lethal Weapons that are being deployed by Law Enforcement agencies and the potential injuries that they may cause to the patient.
- Identify types of Less Lethal Weapon Systems used (LLWS)
- Discuss issues that may affect the EMS provider
- Assess for common injuries associated with a particular LLWS
- Prehospital assessment and management of different LLWS injuries
