Nasal Intubation

Blind nasal intubation is a technique in which the tube is passed through the nose into the pharynx and trachea. It has the advantage of not manipulating the neck as much as orotracheal intubation. Nasotracheal intubation tends to be tolerated better in the patients who are awake and the patient cannot bite the EMS provider.
