ETCO2 Detectors (Colorimetric Device)
- There are a variety of colorimetric devices on the market and the majority contain three-color ranges that are based upon percent to verify proper placement of the advanced airway.
Normal ETCO2 %
- A normal ETCO2 is greater than 4%, therefore, based on the table below a color change to Yellow would indicate the proper amount of carbon dioxide. A simple way to remember this is "Yellow means Yes."
