| WHO aims to have a TB free world
They want to dramatically decease the global burden of TB by 2015
These are the WHO (The Stop TB Strategy) objectives:
- To achieve universal access to high-quality diagnosis and patient-centred treatment
- To reduce the suffering and socioeconomic burden associated with TB
- To protect poor and vulnerable populations from TB, TB/HIV and MDR-TB
- To support development of new tools and enable their timely and effective use[2]
