Anatomy and physiology are the two fundamental divisions in the study of human health and wellness. Anatomy focuses on parts of the body, whereas the physiology focuses on small details such as how a nerve receives an impulse from a sensory organ. [1] These can be difficult to separate since the functions are carried out by the different structures. Anatomy and physiology are closely related because a structure may be defined by what it does or vice versa. Also, it is difficult to discuss what a structure does (physiology) without discussing anatomy, which relates to its shape, size, connection, location and more. [3] | | | | | | | | |
