Endocrine Diabetic Emergencies

Hypoglycemia develops rapidly, presenting with dizziness and headache, fainting or convulsions. The patient can even be hostile and aggressive. The pulse may be rapid, with pale, cold and clammy skin. The patient may experience some drooling or excessive saliva.

Hyperglycemia condition develops more slowly with symptoms of dry mouth, and intense thirst. There may be abdominal pain and vomiting, weak rapid pulse. The skin will be dry and warm.
