Less Lethal Weapon Injuries

A common way both eyes can be equally flushed out at the same time in the ALS PreHospital setting is to hang and spike a 1L Bag of Normal Saline (0.9% Sodium Chloride).  Attach the administration set from the bag to the oxygen input of an adult nasal cannula.  Place the nasal cannula over the bridge of the nose so that each nasal prong is direced at an eye.  Have the patient lay their head back (sometimes off the stretcher) to allow for proper drainage.
