Initial Actions

  • Contact ALS Paramedics if available
  • Airway & Breathing management
    Provide supplemental oxygen and obtain SpO2 %
  • Circulation
    Begin medication therapy.  Pending contraindications, administer Epinephrine Auto-Injector for symptoms of Severe Distress in an anaphylactic reaction. Paramedics may also administer Benadryl IV / IM
  • IV Therapy
    Fluid bouls as indicated
  • ECG Monitor
    Monitor rate and rhythm after medication therapy
