| There are three main arteries that supply the heart and get blood from a small branch off of the aorta. The left anterior descending artery, right main and left circumflex, are the major arteries supplying blood to the heart. It is important to note that these coronary arteries are only 1½ inches long, and have the diameter of a soda straw.
