How is SARS Treated?

Currently, there is NO prophylaxis or treatment for the SARS-CoV. No anti-viral treatment has shown to be effective. No controlled clinical trials have been conducted to assess the effectiveness of medications (such as ribavirin and corticosteroids). It is still unclear if persons who recover from the SARS-CoV develop protective immunity or if they are susceptible to becoming infected again.[6][7]
