What Are the Sign and Symptoms?

Signs and Symptoms may also include:

  • Headache
  • Dyspnea
  • Cough
  • Chills or rigors
  • Overall feeling of discomfort, body aches (Myalgia's)
  • Diarrhea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Confusion

Clinical Features

  • Incubation period of four to six days
  • Most patients become ill within two to ten days post exposure
  • Respiratory symptoms typically develop two to seven days after onset of systemic symptoms (e.g., headache, fever).
  • Clinical signs and symptoms alone are not enough to diagnose SARS, must consider epidemiology.[1]
