Treatment
  • If the patient has presented in Severe Distress and meets the criteria for receiving an Epinephrine Auto-Injector, administer the Epinephrine (EpiPen).
  • A second auto-injection may be administered, if available, after another five minutes if symptoms persist.
  • If a patient's blood pressure drops below 100mmHg systolic treat for shock
    • If tolerable, place the patient supine and provide 100% oxygen by non-rebreather mask and ensure the patient is kept warm.
