- Some studies have indicated that patients who are taking beta-blocking medications may be resistant to treatments with Epinephrine and Beta agonists.
- Some patients have developed reflex bradycardia and hypotension.
- In such cases, administration of Glucagon IVP should be administered. This is because the inotropic and chronotropic effects that Glucagon IVP possesses are not mediated through beta-receptors.
- Adult dose of 1 - 5mg IVP over five minutes.
